Elton, our beautiful new cat, having cuddles with Ivy.

Elton is a 5 month old Burmilla.  The Burmilla cat came about after an accidental mating between a Persian Chinchilla (like the James Bond cat) and a Burmese, (Basil was half Burmese also) and in the 80s the breed was first registered in the UK as a breed in their own right (now also in Australia).  Elton is a 5th generation Burmilla and is known as a black shaded.  He is very calm and freindly and after only a few days with us was allowing Ivy big cuddles and laying calmly in her lap.

Kisses too!  Ivy loves him already.

Goodbye Basil, Missing You.

Basil was a great mate to us all and everyone who met him. He will be very much missed and the house doesn’t seem the same without him and his vocal calls. He was a wonderful companion to me especially when John was away and we are very sad to loose him after 5 happy years. Miss you little man.
