Sorry we cant be there with you to say goodbye on Friday. Our thoughts will be with you and Granny.
This was your 60th wedding anniversary in 2005. It was not only a chance to celebrate the day but also flirt with the ladies at the next table!
My main memories of you will be taking me on a mystery adventure when I was young, starting with a lettuce you were given, we would goto the bakery in Sleaford and swap it for a cake, then off to the club where it would be swapped for a packet of cigars – off somewhere else where it would be swapped again and again whilst chatting with your friends until, by the end of the day we had a cordless phone or a microwave!
Maybe the time when you pretended to drive into the 40foot drain so I would scream (I was only 4 or 5) then you couldn`t reverse the car and we would have to walk 5 miles home in the rain.
Or when Rachael or Jo stuck a toy plunger to your head at Christmas and you had a red mark for 2 weeks.
Glad you could make it to our wedding – lots of love
John and Georgie
